An international ventilation customer wanted to upgrade their plant. They sought a sealing solution for HVAC, made from materials that prevent the ingress of pathogenic microorganisms.

Since the use of impure materials in ventilation systems can cause serious health problems, strict requirements have been introduced in Germany for materials that come into contact with clean air in HVAC systems.

They therefore contacted DAFA, who has in-depth knowledge of the VDI 6022 (Verein Deutsche Ingenieren) requirements.

These requirements serve as a guarantee that the materials used in ventilation systems are not pathogenic.

Following close cooperation, we were able to satisfy the customer’s needs and found a complete solution. The result was an HVAC system with the highest standard of hygiene, leading to a healthier indoor climate free of pathogenic microorganisms, fungi, and bacteria and unpleasant odors.

We also handled optimal documentation for the products’ performance and test results, which are an important part of the customer’s quality management and control.
